New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephonic conversation with the President of the US, Donald Trump, on Thursday.
According to an official statement, the two leaders reviewed the ongoing growth in Indo–US ties and discussed major regional and global developments. It added that Modi and Trump affirmed their commitment to maintaining close co-operation between the two countries, with the shared goal of promoting peace, stability, and prosperity worldwide.
In a post on X, Modi said: “India and the U.S. will continue to work together for global peace, stability, and prosperity.”

The two leaders have held three conversations since the US president raised import duties on Indian goods – up to 50% – a move that affected shipments of textiles, chemicals, and food products, including shrimp.
