Govt committed to transparent, future-ready ecosystem for pharma sector: CM

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated on Wednesday that the state government is firmly committed to providing a transparent, facilitative, and future-ready environment for the pharmaceutical industry. Addressing the Odisha Pharma Summit 2025 in Bhubaneswar, he said that through focused regulatory reforms, robust industrial infrastructure, skilled workforce development, and strengthened industry collaboration, the government is laying a strong foundation for sustainable growth and quality job creation.

He further said: “The summit resulted in 69 MoUs and investment intents worth Rs 7,043 crore, with the potential to generate over 44,600 employment opportunities, reflecting strong investor confidence in Odisha’s policy framework, infrastructure readiness and governance.”

In a post on X, Majhi said: “I invite industry leaders and innovators to partner with Odisha in this transformative journey as we work collectively to build a resilient healthcare manufacturing ecosystem and realise the vision of a Samruddha and Viksit Odisha – ‘Yahi samay hai, sahi samay hai.’”
