OUSSC begins constable recruitment process

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) has initiated the recruitment process for constable-level posts and services under Odisha Police and other departments.

The statement was issued by the Secretary, OUSSSC, by order of the Chairman

The Commission said a detailed advertisement for the recruitment will be issued shortly. It will contain information on vacancies, eligibility criteria, the selection process and other conditions.

In a separate development, the OUSSSC said it is taking necessary steps on priority to expedite the examination process for the Combined Police Services Examination (CPSE)-2024. Applications for the examination have already been received.

The Commission said it is aware of the considerable interest and apprehension among candidates regarding the recruitment and examination process.

It assured candidates that necessary preparations are being made to conduct the examination smoothly, fairly, transparently and securely.

The process will be conducted in accordance with the prescribed rules and procedures, the Commission said.

Candidates who have already applied for CPSE-2024 have been advised to remain prepared for the examination and follow official communication from the Commission.

The OUSSSC said important information, including the examination schedule and other necessary instructions, will be communicated through authorised official channels and its website. The Commission also said its website will be live shortly.

The Commission urged candidates to remain alert, continue their preparation and await official announcements.

It said concerted efforts are being made to move forward with both the recruitment and examination processes at the earliest while safeguarding the interests of candidates and maintaining the sanctity of the examination process.
