Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday visited the Trimetro Garments facility (EPIC Group) in Khordha, an export-oriented apparel manufacturing unit backed by an investment of Rs 376 crore.

The Hong Kong-headquartered apparel manufacturer’s first India unit is expected to generate employment potential for over 7,000 people, marking a significant addition to Odisha’s textile and apparel ecosystem, the CM said in a post on X.

The facility, which exports garments to Europe and Japan, is being seen as part of Odisha’s expanding integration into global apparel value chains. Officials noted that the project moved from groundbreaking in April 2025 to inauguration in under a year, reflecting the state’s execution-driven industrial approach.

During his visit, Majhi interacted with both management and workers at the facility. He assured full government support for operations and future expansion, reiterating Odisha’s commitment to building globally competitive manufacturing driven by employment-led growth.
