Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) has contributed a dividend of Rs 1.17 crore to the Odisha government for the financial year 2024–25, reaffirming its commitment to operational excellence, financial sustainability and the growth of the state’s tourism sector.

Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Women & Child Development, Mission Shakti and Tourism, Pravati Parida, received the dividend cheque from Deepankar Mohapatra, Managing Director of OTDC, on Friday in the presence of senior officials of the Corporation.

The dividend reflects OTDC’s sustained financial performance and its continued contribution to the state’s growth and tourism development.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Parida hailed OTDC’s consistent efforts to strengthen Odisha’s tourism infrastructure and improve service delivery.

She said a financially strong and professionally managed tourism corporation plays a vital role in enhancing visitor experiences, supporting local economies and contributing to the state’s broader tourism vision.

OTDC continues to play a key role in Odisha’s tourism ecosystem by operating 14 Panthanivas hotel units, authentic Odia cuisine restaurants and a luxury tourist transport fleet catering to the diverse needs of domestic and international travellers.

The Corporation also operates an Air Ticketing Division to facilitate travel services and an Engineering Division responsible for the planning, execution, upgradation, and maintenance of tourism infrastructure and facilities across Odisha.

Looking ahead, OTDC has outlined an ambitious three-year roadmap focused on increasing turnover and profitability through infrastructure upgradation, operational efficiency, diversification of tourism-related services and continuous improvement in service quality across its Panthanivas network and other operational units.

The roadmap reflects OTDC’s focus on strengthening its operations while supporting the sustainable growth of Odisha’s tourism sector.
