Bhubaneswar: Prithiviraj Harichandan, Minister for Law, Works, and Excise, on Sunday said that collective efforts are needed to strengthen healthcare services in the state.

Harichandan made the remarks while attending a press conference in Bhubaneswar, organised by AIG Hospitals, based in Hyderabad.

He also called for the expansion of modern medical treatment systems across Odisha.

Doctors from the hospital shared details about advanced treatment procedures, such as minimally invasive heart valve replacement, also known as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.

In a post on X, the minister also shared a personal experience during the interaction. He said his father recently underwent the same minimally invasive heart valve replacement procedure and is now recovering well.

The procedure was performed by a team of cardiology specialists led by Dr. Anuj Kapadia, Director of the Cath Lab and Senior Interventional Cardiologist at AIG Hospitals.

Harichandan said advanced medical technology and the expertise of doctors are helping even elderly patients receive safe and effective treatment. He added that such medical advancements are giving new hope and a new life to patients.

He also expressed gratitude to the medical team for their dedication and expertise.
