Bhubaneswar: TEXMiN (TTRP) of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Odisha Mining Corporation Ltd. (OMC) to enhance capability building and innovation in the mining sector.
The event saw the presence of Alok Kumar Pal, Director (HR) at OMC, and Prof. Dheeraj Kumar, Deputy Director of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and Project Director of TEXMiN, alongside other dignitaries from both organizations.
The collaboration is designed as a long-term, structured initiative covering key areas such as structured learning, leadership development, and creation of a continuous learning ecosystem within OMC.
It will also focus on industry-aligned research and innovation, policy and compliance training, digital transformation, productivity enhancement, and safe, sustainable mining practices, TEXMiN said in a release.
Highlighting OMC’s approach, officials noted the company’s commitment to building long-term capability and adapting to evolving industry needs. Pal’s leadership and support were acknowledged as instrumental in shaping this partnership.
TEXMiN reaffirmed its dedication to bridging the gap between knowledge, technology, and mining operations through capability building and innovation, emphasizing that the future of mining will rely on the capabilities developed today.
