Koraput: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Sunday that the welfare of the tribal communities is the foundation of a developed Odisha.
Majhi, who inaugurated the famous “Parab 2025” festival in Koraput, said that development and excellence would be the new identity of the state.
At Parab-2025, the CM launched 16 projects involving an outlay of Rs24 crore and laid foundation stones for 70 more works worth Rs521 crore, together amounting to an investment of Rs545 crore in the Koraput district.
Addressing the gathering at the Saheed Laxman Naik Stage, he said: “Our government is committed to the overall development of Odisha by following the mantra of ‘Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi” shown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Several development projects have been launched to bring revolutionary changes in the fields of education, healthcare, and connectivity in Koraput district. Major initiatives such as creating an international market for Koraput coffee, the revival of Shri Anna Abhiyan, and the six-lane greenfield corridor between Brahmapur and Jeypore will strengthen Koraput’s economic base. The welfare of the tribal communities is the foundation of a developed Odisha. Development and excellence will be the new identity of this land. I once again extend my congratulations to the district administration and the people of Koraput for successfully organising this grand Parab festival.”
