Simranpreet wins gold at ISSF World Cup Final

Doha: India’s Simranpreet Kaur Brar on Sunday claimed the women’s 25m pistol title at the 2025 ISSF World Cup Final in Doha, Qatar, matching the junior world record after a slow start. China’s Yao Qianxun and Germany’s Doreen Vennekamp took silver and bronze, respectively.

In the men’s 50m rifle 3-positions final, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar finished 0.9 points behind Czech shooter Jiri Privratsky, who scored 414.2 in the new 40-shot format. Olympic champion Liu Yukun secured bronze.

Anish Bhanwala, World Championships silver-medallist, added another silver in the 25m rapid-fire pistol event, taking India’s tally to six medals – two gold, three silver, and one bronze.
