New Delhi: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Saturday on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, where both sides agreed to strengthen dialogue and expand cooperation across multiple sectors to promote stable bilateral ties.
During the meeting, Yi emphasized the need to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of State.
He stated that both countries should work toward making 2026 a year marked by mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation between China and the US.
According to Xu Feihong, Chinese Ambassador to India, the talks were described as positive and constructive. The two sides agreed to give full play to political and diplomatic coordination channels, support high-level exchanges, and enhance communication in key areas of cooperation.
The meeting signals a continued effort by Beijing and Washington to stabilize relations through sustained engagement and structured dialogue.
In a post on X, Feihong said: “They agreed to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state.”
