Bhubaneswar: The second Governing Council meeting of the Panchasakha Shiksha Setu Organisation was held at Lokseva Bhavan on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anu Garg, with members reviewing the progress of key education programmes and outlining priorities for the coming year.

The Governing Council conducted a comprehensive review of the organisation’s ongoing initiatives and discussed the proposed action plan and budget for the next financial year.

The meeting also stressed the need to strengthen public participation and expand Corporate Social Responsibility support to accelerate the development of the education sector in the state.

Members reviewed the implementation of several flagship initiatives, including the Chief Minister’s Shiksha Puraskar, Heritage Schools, Aspirational Curriculum, and Aspirational Council programmes.

The Council also assessed progress in improving school cleanliness and security through Women’s Self-Help Groups, highlighting their role in creating a safer and cleaner learning environment.

Infrastructure development was another key agenda item. The meeting reviewed the construction of midday meal halls and other ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at improving facilities in government schools across Odisha.
