Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has fulfilled more than half of the promises made in its election manifesto within two years, the BJP’s state president said at the party’s extended state executive committee meeting in Cuttack.
The meeting was held at the Indoor Stadium in Cuttack, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi highlighted the government’s work across several key sectors.
Majhi said the government has translated several important promises into action through initiatives covering Subhadra Yojana, healthcare, farmer welfare, infrastructure, education, industrial investment and employment.
He urged party workers to ensure that the benefits of these government schemes and initiatives reach all eligible beneficiaries.
Addressing the gathering, the BJP state President Manmohan Samal said the government had fulfilled more than half of the commitments made in its manifesto in just two years. He said the government was moving ahead with a resolve to build a prosperous and developed Odisha.
The concluding session of the executive committee meeting was addressed by BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santhosh.
He called upon party workers, leaders and members of the state cabinet to introspect on their functioning and strengthen the organisation.
Santhosh also stressed the need to meet the expectations of the people and society from the party and government. He said the organisation and government have a role to play in building a developed India and a developed Odisha.
State BJP in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, co-in-charge Lata Usendi, Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Prabhati Parida, and General Secretary (Organisation) Manas Kumar Mohanty were among those present at the concluding session.
Cuttack District BJP President Sukants Biswal introduced the workers who organised the event, while State Deputy Leader Smruti Pattanayak proposed the vote of thanks.
