Bhubaneswar: A meeting of all district magistrates was held at Lok Seva Bhawan on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anu Garg to review key governance initiatives, including the ‘CM-Sampada’ platform.
Officials discussed the activation of the ‘CM-Sampada’ monitoring and review system. The platform aims to ensure both individual and community-level access to basic amenities in mining-affected regions. It focuses on improving the quality of life, healthcare services, safe drinking water, education, and infrastructure through the District Mineral Foundation Fund.
During the meeting, the Directorate of Economics and Statistics made a presentation on the ongoing irrigation census in the state. Authorities confirmed that, for the first time, a dedicated spring census programme is being conducted. The data collected will support better groundwater management and help maintain environmental balance in the concerned areas.
District-level sub-committees have been constituted under the leadership of District Magistrates to oversee the implementation of the irrigation census.
