Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department has announced that the admission process for Postgraduate (PG) courses for the academic session 2026-27 will begin well in advance.

The move aims to ensure the timely completion of admissions and the smooth commencement of classes across the State.

Students seeking admission to PG programmes must appear for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET). The Common Application Form will be available on the Student Academic Management System portal from February 27 to March 15.

The CPET examinations for different subjects will be conducted from April 27 to May 10, 2026. Admissions will be made strictly based on marks secured in the entrance test, according to an official release.

The Department has set a target to begin PG classes in all universities and colleges across the State by July 10. Officials said the early schedule will help in the timely completion of the academic curriculum, examinations, and result publication.

The decision is expected to benefit thousands of postgraduate aspirants across the State.
