New Delhi: Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Wednesday met Lauren Dreyer, Starlink’s Vice President of Business Operations, to discuss advancing satellite-based last-mile access across the country.

Following the meeting, Scindia said on X: “Satellite technology will play a pivotal role in extending connectivity to the most remote parts of the country and strengthening internet access for every citizen in rural and hard-to-reach regions, ensuring that digital inclusion accelerates broader development.”

For her part, Dreyer thanked the minister for a meaningful conversation. In a post on X, she said: “@Starlink is committed to working shoulder to shoulder with you to bring high-speed connectivity and digital empowerment to every part of India.”

The American company is reportedly looking to launch its satellite communication services in the country at ₹2,500–3,500 for retail customers.
