Hyderabad: Wings India 2026, the country’s premier civil aviation event, began at Begumpet Airport on Wednesday. The four-day event will highlight India’s rapid growth and rising global role in aviation.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu inaugurated the event. He said the government is working to improve aircraft availability while meeting global safety and operational standards.

This year’s edition carries the theme Indian Aviation: Paving the Future. The focus spans aircraft design, manufacturing, maintenance, innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability.
The event has brought together global aviation leaders, manufacturers, policymakers, and innovators. Organisers said the platform reflects India’s intent to emerge as a major aviation hub.
Over the next four days, Wings India 2026 will present India’s expanding aviation capabilities. It will also highlight new partnerships and technology-led growth across the sector.
The programme includes an international exhibition, static aircraft displays, and flying demonstrations. Aerobic shows are also part of the schedule.
Delegates will take part in a high-level international conference and CEO roundtables. The agenda also features B2B and B2G meetings aimed at boosting investment.
An aviation job fair and an awards ceremony will run alongside the main event. Cultural programmes have also been planned to engage visitors and participants, according to reports.
Officials said Wings India 2026 offers a clear view of India’s aviation roadmap. The event underlines the country’s push for safe, sustainable, and future-ready air transport.
