KIIT signs nine international MoUs in Almaty

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to expand its global academic collaborations, KIIT Deemed to be University has signed nine international Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) at the International Association of University Presidents Conference 2026 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

According to KIIT, the MoUs were signed with Almaty Management University, Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, and Alikhan Bokeikhan University (Kazakhstan); Central Asian University and the International School of Finance Technology and Science (Uzbekistan); Siam University (Thailand); the University of Technology and Arts in Applied Sciences in Warsaw (Poland); CETYS University System (Mexico); and Caucasus University (Georgia).

These partnerships are expected to boost KIIT’s academic engagement through various programmes, including student and faculty exchange, joint research, study abroad opportunities, academic cooperation, and knowledge sharing.

In a separate development, a distinguished five-member delegation from Newcastle University, the UK, visited KIIT as part of the institution’s ongoing academic partnership.

During their visit, the delegation, led by Professor Nigel Harkness, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, engaged with KIIT’s academic community.

It also interacted with KIIT’s faculty members and university leadership, visited key facilities of the institution, and gained insights into KIIT’s multidisciplinary approach to education, research, innovation, and global engagement.
