New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Sunday held talks with a three-member US Congressional delegation in New Delhi, focusing on key aspects of Indo–US relations, including trade, security, and emerging technologies.
The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, according to reports.
The meeting took place amid ongoing challenges in bilateral ties, even as both countries continue efforts to strengthen strategic cooperation.
The US delegation included Jimmy Patronis, Mike Rogers, and Adam Smith. Their visit comes at a time when India and the US are seeking progress in negotiations for a proposed bilateral trade agreement.
Jaishankar described the discussions as a “good interaction” in a post on X, highlighting the constructive nature of the engagement.
