Bhubaneswar: Reinforcing its mission to transform Odisha into an industrially developed state, the Odisha government has approved a new set of strategic industrial investments aimed at accelerating economic growth and generating large-scale employment.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the state has adopted a results-oriented industrialisation model focused on investment facilitation, rapid project grounding, and job creation. Over the last two years, the government has grounded and inaugurated more than 150 industrial projects, underscoring its push to convert investment intent into on-ground industrial activity.

At the 146th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, as many as 18 industrial projects were approved with a combined investment of ₹3,877.14 crore. These projects are expected to generate 7,565 employment opportunities across 11 districts – Balasore, Deogarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh.

The approved projects reflect Odisha’s strategy to build a diversified industrial ecosystem spanning advanced manufacturing, green industries, infrastructure, healthcare, and tourism, while ensuring wide employment generation across regions.

In the metals and value-added manufacturing segment, Runaya Eckart Aluminium Powders Private Limited will establish an aluminium downstream manufacturing facility focused on advanced material production and value addition.

Strengthening the steel ecosystem further, Scan Steels Limited, Jay Jagannath Steel & Power Limited, and SS Alufoils International Limited will expand steel, iron, and ferro-alloy manufacturing capacities, reinforcing Odisha’s position as a leading metal manufacturing hub.

In the high-technology segment, EnvairElectrodyne Limited will establish an Electronics System Design and Manufacturing unit, supporting Odisha’s growing electronics manufacturing ecosystem and skilled job creation.

The healthcare manufacturing sector will also see expansion with Harman Finochem Limited setting up a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit, while Ambitech Healthcare Private Limited will establish a medical device manufacturing facility, strengthening the state’s healthcare value chain.

Aligned with sustainable industrialisation goals, South Block Marketing Private Limited will set up an integrated facility for recycling plastic and metal products.

Industrial infrastructure will receive a boost through projects by Tamil Nadu Ispat Private Limited and Alps Mining & Infra Projects Private Limited, aimed at strengthening logistics, material handling, and industrial support systems essential for faster industrial growth.

In a notable diversification into maritime manufacturing, Baleshwar Shipyard and Infra Private Limited will undertake shipbuilding, ship repair, and construction of mechanised floating vessels in Balasore, positioning Odisha as an emerging coastal industrial hub.

The tourism and hospitality sector will also expand with six new projects by Jas Constructions Private Limited, Rath Hospitality Private Limited, Keonjhar Regal Paradise Private Limited, Karyon Ventures Private Limited, Surya Eco Resorts Private Limited, and Chaturbhuja Hotel & Resorts Private Limited.
