Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is continuing its efforts to strengthen industrial growth and employment generation in the state, with a focus on attracting large-scale investments and positioning Odisha as a leading investment destination.

A high-level delegation, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Industries, Skill Development, and Technical Education Sampad Swain, on Tuesday participated in the Odisha Investors’ Meet Roadshow held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The initiative was aimed at showcasing Odisha’s industrial potential, infrastructure strength, and investment-friendly policy environment to leading industry stakeholders. The event witnessed participation from over 500 industry leaders and stakeholders, Majhi said in a series of posts on X.

The leadership stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the coordination of “double engine” governance at the Centre and in Odisha, the state’s development trajectory has gained renewed momentum. Industrial growth and employment generation for youth were highlighted as top priorities.

As part of the outreach, 26 high-impact one-on-one meetings were conducted with leading industrial representatives across sectors such as chemicals and renewable energy.

During the engagements, discussions were held with Natarwal Patel, Chairman of Meghmani Organics Limited, focusing on potential investment opportunities and expansion scope in Odisha’s chemical sector.

The delegation also met Melwyn Moses, CEO of Borosil Renewables Limited, where discussions centred on the manufacturing of green energy equipment. An Investment Intent Form was signed during the meeting.

In another interaction, CM Majhi and Minister Swain met Hitesh Doshi of Waaree Energies Limited. The discussion focused on the company’s upcoming solar panel and module manufacturing unit in Dhenkanal and its future expansion plans in Odisha. The state assured full support for the timely execution of the projects.

Officials reiterated that Odisha is emerging as a strong industrial hub, supported by world-class infrastructure, progressive policy frameworks, and a commitment to ease of doing business. The state emphasized its focus on providing both opportunity and investment certainty.

The Gujarat roadshow forms part of Odisha’s broader strategy to accelerate industrial transformation, attract global investors, and create sustainable employment opportunities within the state.
