FIH Hockey Pro League: India lose to England

India went down 1-4 to England in a penalty shootout after both sides were locked at 2-2 at the end of regulation time in an FIH Hockey Pro League match.

Dilpreet Singh scored both goals for India, while David Goodfield and Nick Bandurak found the net for England.

England could have scored more in the regular time, but goalkeeper Suraj Karkera made several crucial saves to keep India in the contest. The match was eventually decided in the penalty shootout, where England emerged victorious.

England’s Tom Sorsby was named the Player of the Match.

India will next face arch-rivals Pakistan in another FIH Hockey Pro League match on Friday. The Men in Blue had defeated Pakistan 4-3 in their previous meeting in London.
