India beat Canada to reach Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2025 final

Ipoh: India’s men’s hockey team sealed their place in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2025 final after a dominant 14–3 win over Canada in their final round-robin match held on Saturday in Ipoh, Malaysia.

Jugraj Singh led the scoring with four goals, including three penalty corners and one penalty stroke. India delivered a strong attacking display with contributions from multiple players throughout the match.

Abhishek, Amit Rohidas, and Rajinder Singh scored two goals each, while Selvam Karthi, Nilakanta Sharma, Sanjay, and Dilpreet Singh added one goal apiece as India continued their commanding run in the tournament.

With this win, India confirmed a top-two finish in the points table, securing their spot in the final regardless of other match results. The team, coached by Craig Fulton, is now expected to face Belgium in the title clash.
