Suryakumar Yadav climbs ICC T20I rankings

New Delhi: India Captain Suryakumar Yadav has jumped five places to seventh in the latest ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings. The rise follows strong performances in the ongoing home series against New Zealand.

India leads the five-match series 3-0. Suryakumar scored 32, 82 not out, and 57 not out across the matches. His form has boosted India’s presence near the top of the rankings.

India now controls the upper tier of the T20I batting list. Abhishek Sharma holds the top position. Tilak Varma stands third, days before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Ishan Kishan has returned to the rankings at 64th. He smashed 76 off 32 balls in the Raipur match. Shivam Dube rose nine places to 58th. Rinku Singh climbed 13 spots to 68th, according to an ICC release.

Afghanistan batters also made gains after a series win over the West Indies in Dubai. Ibrahim Zadran moved up to 13th. Rahmanullah Gurbaz climbed to 15th. Darwish Rasooli jumped to 87th after scoring 156 runs.

South Africa Skipper Aiden Markram has moved into the top 20 of the T20I batting rankings. He scored an unbeaten 86 against the West Indies. West Indies batter Brandon King rose to 35th. New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips moved up to 44th.

In the T20I bowling rankings, Mujeeb ur Rahman reached ninth. He claimed four for 21 against West Indies. Jasprit Bumrah climbed to 13th. Ravi Bishnoi moved up to 19th. Corbin Bosch reached a career-best 32nd.

Hardik Pandya surged 18 places to 59th among bowlers. He also rose to 53rd in batting rankings. He stayed third in the all-rounders’ list.

In the ODI rankings, England batters gained after a series win in Sri Lanka. Harry Brook climbed to 11th after scoring 247 runs. Joe Root moved up to 17th with 184 runs.

Adil Rashid rose to fifth among ODI bowlers. He took seven wickets in the series. Sri Lanka spinner Dunith Wellalage climbed to 29th.
