Amaravati: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has secured two Guinness World Records in Andhra Pradesh with a milestone achievement on the Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor (NH-544G). The feat, executed by M/s Rajpath Infracon Pvt. Ltd., was recorded after the team laid 28.95 lane-kilometres of bituminous concrete continuously within 24 hours, totaling 10,675 metric tonnes.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu hailed the achievement, describing it as a testament to India’s growing capability in building world-class road infrastructure. He said the record-setting effort reflects the vision of the Union government and the sustained push for modern highway networks under Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. Naidu also praised the engineers, field teams, and workers involved, noting that the work was carried out in full compliance with NHAI’s stringent quality benchmarks.

In a post on X, he said: “Best wishes to the team as two more Guinness World Records are being attempted by 11 Jan 2026 on Packages 2 & 3 of this landmark corridor in Andhra Pradesh.”

NHAI officials confirmed that two additional Guinness World Record attempts are underway on Packages 2 and 3 of the corridor, and are expected to conclude by January 11, 2026. The Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor is considered a crucial link in Andhra Pradesh’s connectivity expansion and is projected to accelerate economic activity across several districts once completed.
