Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday said that Odisha is emerging as a growth engine for India following his return from the two-day Odisha Investors’ Meet held in Hyderabad.
Addressing a press conference along with Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain at the Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar, the CM outlined the vision of Purvodaya and Samruddha Odisha by 2036, aligned with the national goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
During the Meet, the CM held 38 high-level One-on-One meetings with investors from key sectors, such as Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices, Advanced Manufacturing, Renewable Energy Equipment, Electronics & ESDM, Textiles & Technical Textiles, IT & Data Centres, Aerospace & Defence. The delegation of Odisha also organised two sector-specific roundtables with eight major Pharmaceutical Companies and 27 Aerospace & Defence Companies.
“A total of 13 MoUs were signed, with an investment potential of Rs27,650 crore, and the possibility of creating over 15,900 jobs. In addition, 9 investment intent proposals worth Rs39,131 crore were received, which can generate more than 40,000 employment opportunities,” Swain said in a post on X.
